InterRailing: Vienna & Bratislava

These two don't really deserve full posts seeing as we spent fewer than 24 hours in both places. Vienna was the first stop, after Prague. Establishing which station to get off at was somewhat confusing due to refurbishment/construction work taking place, but we managed to work it out with a nice Austrian couple. We got there in the afternoon, it was raining.

Somehow we navigated through the rain to our little hotel, which was really quite odd. The hotel door made it look like it was going to a small B&B, but then somehow it expanded into a huge complex with corridors more like a school than a hotel. Our 'economy room' was a good 5 minutes walk from the reception, up and down various marble staircases. We had a double bed (more like a Japanese tatami- mattress level with the ground) and a single bed (not really necessary), a nice broken TV and a little table which came in handy for dining.

Sightseeing in the rain isn't so fun (God knows how people manage London in Autumn!) so I didn't take too many pictures, and we didn't quite cover half the sights- just tried to get a feel for the city in the few hours we had. Dinner was a delightful supermarket salad again (they really know how to make good salads in German speaking countries) as well as some biscuits from Prague and a few bits and bobs.

Beard day 6 or something around there

Not a real building! Shocking.
