Mastering the Microwave: Quinoa

So I have tried this a few times in the last couple of weeks, and I still haven't quite mastered the whole thing. I probably should have tried making this normally on the stove before attempting it in the microwave! The main issue is rinsing the quinoa, this bit is tedious and tricky, and involves losing lots of quinoa to the sink plughole. It's also difficult to know how much water to put in, and the quinoa seems to take a very long time to cook. However once it is cooked it is quite good. I've tried a few variations, with asparagus, feta, (a very unripe) avocado, garden peas and a few squeezes of lemon. I suspect you could do a lot better with it though, I will have to keep experimenting!
